Nice to see your first animation finally. (did you animate with something else than Flash before?)
And somehow nice to see how plain and simple it is. Don't get me wrong (I feel like this could sound very harshly or even offending) but in some way this also shows that you don't start with awesome animations right from the beginning, but make the small steps you always do when you learn, including the (seeming) backsteps (the simple and rougher style compared to the drawings in this case), that still lead to likeable results.
I looking forward to see your works and especially your further progress.
Btw: How exactly do you animate this? Drawn every single picture (like StarCrafts e.g.)?
Thanks for this detailed response.
Ivor the Engine looks pretty charming. I think especially because these animation style reminds me of classical puppet theatre. But it is also pretty laborious, isn't it?
I see your point with the techniques. I like the simple ones as well and the challenge they can pose. But I for one also have ideas I could never achieve with them so that I have to try new and sometimes complicated things. It's a matter of what I aim for. Do I want to create something or do I want to learn, try, maybe fail, experiment?
Anyways, I'm still and stiller looking forward for you new stuff. And I feel the growing motivation to try some animations myself.
